Founder Farzana Yusuf is an award-winning fashion entrepreneur, textile designer, educator, and a design strategist from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has worked for more than fifteen years in the traditional textile crafts industry from South Asia. With her team, she has conceptualized, designed, and created fashion and lifestyle products for home and abroad. A strong motivator and practitioner in handmade textiles- her experience include Strategic Design thinking in sustainable material choices, social and cultural sustainability, collaborative practices, design and product development, operations management, production processes and storytelling.
She is a design strategist with a unique background in entrepreneurship, textile design and higher education. Her approach to design is exploratory, collaborative, analytical and human-centered. Her work centers around creating design solutions for a transformative and equitable future.
In her academic career she has developed workshops, modules, courses and has been a key contributor in curriculum and program development in Fashion Design education in Bangladesh. She has successfully coordinated and taught at undergraduate and graduate level programs in Bangladesh and abroad.
